weekly theme
Our yoga mat is a space for us to check in and connect with our physical bodies (joints/muscles tightness/soreness), breathing bodies (allowing deep settling breaths to flow), as well as our thinking/feeling body (what thoughts we are focussing on, energy levels) and giving ourselves space to settle, connect and reflect.
This week, let's increase our awareness in our yoga practise both on and off the mat by setting a practise intention at the start of class and minimise comparing today's self to that of yesterday/last week, or comparing self to others. Off the mat, check in and become aware of times when comparison of your world to your neighbours takes place and how frequently this occurs?? Comparing physical characteristics/ appearance/material possessions/fashion/wealth etc etc. Whenever comparison takes place, either ego can kick into play accompanied by false perception of superiority, or a robbing of internal joy will result with varying levels of feelings of inadequacy.
Be present, be content, be happy, your choice?
